The 2019 Steeplechase Challenge will consist of three rounds.

Round 1 and Round 2: Friday, June 14, 2019

The first two rounds will be unlimited entry, AAC sanctioned Steeplechase events, judged according to current AAC rules and regulations and OPEN TO ALL DOGS ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE IN AAC SANCTIONED EVENTS. Dogs do not have to be entered in Regionals to play.

A dog does not have to enter both Steeplechase runs. Entering both will increase your chance to get in the final and could lessen your competition by 1 if you qualify in both.

Round 3: Sunday, June 16, 2019

The third round “Steeplechase Final” will be based on time plus faults (a qualifying score is not required). The top 20% of dogs (min 5, max 15) for each height class from each of the 2 Steeplechase runs will be invited to compete in the Final.

The prize money amount will be determined once entries are finalized. Prize money will be calculated using 50% (minimum) of the Steeplechase entry fees and distributed as a percentage of entries in each height class (there will be no combining of height classes). Prize money will be calculated and amounts announced after the closing date.
